I’m excited to head to Puerto Rico for AMCA 2025 and connect with the incredible vector control community once again. As Marketing Manager for Vector Control at MGK, I have the opportunity to work closely with Abatement Districts and Public Health Agencies, learning from their experiences and developing solutions that make a real impact.

Vector control is a unique, collaborative industry. Professionals in this space are committed to public health and sharing knowledge to improve vector control. That’s what makes events like AMCA so valuable – they are not just about product updates or research presentations; they are about having conversations, sharing ideas, and learning from one another.

With AMCA just around the corner, here’s what I’m most looking forward to.

What Stands Out About The Vector Control Industry

One of the best parts of my role at MGK is working with vector control professionals dedicated to public health. Abatement districts and public health agencies don’t just focus on their programs, they share best practices to improve mosquito control across the board.

I love that there are no “trade secrets” in this industry. If someone finds a better way of doing something, they share it with the entire community. That collaborative mindset makes a real difference in protecting public health.

The MGK Vector and Public Health team takes the same approach.

My Biggest Takeaways from AMCA 2024

Last year’s AMCA conference in Dallas was fantastic. The sessions were packed with meaningful discussions and valuable insights that helped shape my approach to vector control.

Heading into this year’s AMCA in Puerto Rico, my expectations are high. There is so much valuable content. Choosing which sessions to attend will be challenging. That’s why the MGK team is ready to divide and conquer so we don’t miss any critical information.

What I’m Most Excited About at AMCA 2025

AMCA is an opportunity to engage with the vector control community, exchange ideas and learn from some of the best minds in the industry.

Some of the things I’m most looking forward to:

  • Insightful sessions – Every event brings new takeaways, and AMCA consistently provides some of the best.
  • Industry Conversations – The discussions I have at AMCA always provide key insights and help shape how we approach mosquito control solutions.
  • Exploring how MGK can help – I’m excited to share how our solutions can support abatement districts and public health teams to serve their communities.

Where to Find TeamMGK at AMCA

MGK is proud to partner with abatement districts and public health agencies to provide effective vector control solutions. This year, we are hosting a symposium on the challenges of treating mosquitoes in catch basins.

If you’re attending AMCA, we’d love to connect! Stop by Booth #211, join our symposium or just say hello. I’m always interested in hearing about what’s working, what’s not and how MGK can support your program.

See you in Puerto Rico!
