When conceptualizing the formulation that would ultimately be Sumari, the MGK team focused not on just creating another non-repellent concentrate to compete for a slice of the ant market, but rather an innovative solution that would incorporate feedback from the field and PMPs themselves.

During development, the MGK team identified six areas PMPs found challenging with ant control that were lacking in the current product offerings on the market, such as:

  • Provides long-term control*
  • Provides a solution for complex ant species
  • Provides improved business efficiency
  • Has a flexible label with fewer restrictions
  • Reduces call-backs

On this basis, Sumari was born. This unique suspoemulsion combines both a suspension concentrate (SC) and concentrated emulsion in water (EW), which enhances stability and helps prevent microbial growth even after the bottle is opened.

The combination of clothianidin and pyriproxyfen provide at least 90 days of residual control* both indoors and outdoors on multiple surface types, leading to extended time between treatment intervals.

The ability to broadcast outdoors, combined with indoor uses allows for a single formulation for both interior and exterior ants.

With no signal word and minimal PPE requirements (no gloves, goggles or respirators), mixing and application are simplified, saving both time and money.

Sumari bottles displayed over a white and gold background with the text: Make ant control simple you said. So we did. Deadly simple.
